1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the Canon XA60B have XLR inputs?
Not as standard: the two XLR connectors are carried by the HDU-4 top handle, sold separately. The body alone has a 3.5 mm microphone input and a built-in microphone. That is the point to settle before buying.
What is the difference between the Canon XA60B and the XA65?
Two points. The XA65 is supplied with its XLR handle and has a 3G-SDI output; the XA60B is limited to HDMI and leaves the handle as an option. Sensor, 20x zoom, processor and recording formats are identical.
What is the zoom range of the Canon XA60B?
20x optical, from 29.3 to 601 mm in 35 mm equivalent. The stated range reaches 612 mm with dynamic stabilisation, which slightly crops the image, and a digital zoom goes up to 800x — at the expense of resolution.
What sensor does the Canon XA60B camcorder use?
A 1/2.3-inch type 4K CMOS, paired with the DIGIC DV6 processor. Oversampled HD processing derives the Full HD images from the entire 4K sensor, which gives a sharper result than direct Full HD capture.
What formats does the Canon XA60B record in?
XF-AVC 4K UHD at 160 Mbps in 25P and Full HD at 45 Mbps, or MP4 4K at 150 Mbps and Full HD at 35 or 17 Mbps. XF-AVC for editing, MP4 for fast delivery: the choice is made during the shoot, not afterwards.
Can the Canon XA60B be used as a webcam?
Yes, it streams live as UVC via its USB-C port: the computer sees it as a standard camera, with no capture card. The same port also accepts the Canon GP-E2 GPS receiver to geotag the footage.
Does the Canon XA60B record to two cards?
Yes, it has two SD slots allowing simultaneous recording — a live backup — or relay recording, which automatically continues onto the second card when the first is full.
Can the Canon XA60B film in very low light?
Yes, thanks to its infrared mode, designed for dimly lit or unlit areas. It also offers slow motion in Full HD at 0.5x and fast motion up to 1,200x in both 4K and Full HD.
Does the Canon XA60B autofocus track faces?
Yes, the Hybrid AF system provides face detection and tracking, with adjustable focusing speeds. Tracking remains available in manual focus as soon as the ring is used — useful in interviews.
Is the Canon XA60B camcorder new and under warranty?
New, in original Canon packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested in the event of a claim.
