8 hours of talk time and 200 hours on standby, on a 2,000 mAh battery. These are two very different modes: the 8 hours cover a working day, the 200 hours a weekend off the cradle.
Does the call drop when moving between zones with the WP822?
No: it supports 802.11r roaming, which hands the call over from one Wi-Fi access point to the next without interruption. Without this standard, every change of access point cuts the call — the deal-breaker for a Wi-Fi phone.
Can the Grandstream WP822 be heard in a noisy workshop?
It features a dual microphone, echo cancellation and noise reduction. Two mics can tell the voice apart from ambient noise by the difference in what each picks up — something a single mic cannot do.
Can a Bluetooth headset be used with the Grandstream WP822?
Yes, Bluetooth is built in, and a 3.5 mm headset jack completes the set-up. Charging is via micro-USB or on the supplied charging cradle.
