Can the Temporis T26 ringer be switched off completely?
Yes. The ringer volume has three settings: high, low or off. With the ringer off, an incoming call is still signalled by the light indicator on the front: the phone still alerts you without disturbing the room, at night or in a shared office.
What is the R key for, and why is its timing adjustable?
The R (flash) key sends a brief line break, the one that telephone switchboards and operator services expect. Its duration can be set to 100, 300 or 600 ms to match the existing installation — a decisive point behind a business switchboard.
Does it work on an old line or exchange that uses pulse dialling?
Yes: the phone handles both dialling modes, FV (tone) and DC (pulse). It therefore connects just as well to a standard analogue line as behind an older PBX that still requires pulse dialling.
Can it be wall-mounted, and are the cords replaceable?
Yes to both. Wall mounting is supported out of the box, and the cords are detachable, RJ11/RJ11: a damaged or too-short cord can be replaced without changing the phone. The unit measures 193 × 184 × 72 mm, worth checking before choosing where to mount it on the wall.
Can you mute the microphone without hanging up during a call?
Yes, with the mute key: it switches off the microphone while keeping the call open, long enough to have a quick word with someone near you. A dedicated redial key also calls back the last number dialled with a single press.
Is this phone suitable for a reception desk or a workshop?
Yes: large, well-spaced keys, a call indicator light that is useful in noisy environments, a mute key and an adjustable R flash for working with a switchboard. At 193 mm it fits on a counter, and wall mounting frees up the work surface completely.
Is the phone new and under warranty?
