Which plotters does this HP 4287 printhead fit?
The HP DesignJet T858, T908 and T918. Check the model name printed on your machine: printheads are not interchangeable from one range to another.
Does this printhead contain ink?
No: the contents are limited to one printhead. The ink cartridges are separate part numbers, to be ordered separately.
Why replace a printhead on a plotter?
Because the printhead is the part that fires the ink droplets: when it wears out or becomes permanently clogged, streaks or missing colours appear, whatever the ink level.
