1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Exactly how long is this cable?
0.5 metre: that is the length of reference UACC-DAC-SFP10-0.5M. The range also comes in 1 m and 3 m, but it is indeed the short version offered here, designed to connect two devices in the same rack. Measure the distance between your two ports before ordering.
Do SFP+ modules need to be bought in addition to this cable?
No. It is a direct attach cable: its SFP+ connectors are built into both ends and plug directly into an SFP+ or SFP cage, with no optical module or fibre patch cord to order in addition.
Does it work on a 1 Gbit SFP port, or only at 10 Gbit?
Both. It supports 10 Gbps and 1 Gbps and remains compatible with both SFP+ and SFP interfaces: you can use it right away on a gigabit link and keep it the day you move up to 10 Gbit.
What difference does a passive cable make in use?
Its passive design ensures low power consumption and consistent performance. In return, it is intended for short distances — hence the range's lengths of 0.5 to 3 m. The conductor is 24 or 30 AWG.
Can it handle the heat of a patch rack?
Its operating range extends from 0 to 70 °C. It is the low end you need to watch rather than the high end: an unheated room dropping below 0 °C would fall outside the stated range. The black jacket measures 4.2 or 6.0 mm in diameter.
Is this Ubiquiti DAC cable new and under warranty?
Yes: the UACC-DAC-SFP10-0.5M (EAN 810010077042) is new and in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for a period of one year. It is the 0.5 m version of Ubiquiti's 10G Direct Attach Cable range.
