This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Can you add memory to this HP Victus 15-fa2042nk?
Yes, without removing anything. The 16 GB is fitted on a single module of DDR5-5600, in a chassis that has two accessible slots. A second module therefore goes in alongside the first, which also enables dual-channel operation.
Can you add a second SSD to this HP Victus 15?
Yes: the machine has two M.2 slots for SSDs, only one of which is taken by the 1 TB drive supplied. A second drive can therefore be installed without replacing the first — enough to keep the system separate from your games, or to double the capacity without reinstalling anything.
What does the “HX” in this HP Victus 15's Core i5-14450HX stand for?
HX denotes Intel's most power-hungry variant, derived from desktop processors — above the H and U series. This i5-14450HX packs 10 cores and 16 threads at up to 4.8 GHz with 20 MB of cache: that is what feeds the graphics card without holding it back.
Is this HP Victus 15's screen matte or glossy?
Matte: the 15.6-inch IPS panel is anti-glare and reaches 300 nits, with a 144 Hz refresh rate at Full HD. The matte finish prevents mirror-like reflections under ceiling lights, which matters when you game or work for several hours at a stretch.
Is this HP Victus 15's screen suitable for photo work?
No, it is designed for gaming. The panel covers 62.5% of the sRGB colour space: colours are pleasant to look at but not accurate enough for retouching or colour grading. For that kind of work, plan on an external monitor connected to the HDMI 2.1 output or via USB-C.
Can this HP Victus 15 be charged through its USB-C port?
Yes, the USB-C port supports Power Delivery 3.1 charging and also carries video via DisplayPort 1.4a. The supplied power brick is still a 135 W AC adapter, the power the manufacturer specifies to run the HX processor and the graphics card together.
How long does this HP Victus 15's battery take to charge?
About 50% in 30 minutes, with the machine switched off and connected to the supplied adapter. The battery is a 4-cell 70 Wh unit. Beyond the halfway mark, charging returns to its normal speed, which spares the cell over time.
