Is there a free slot for a second SSD in this MSI Vector 18 HX AI?
Yes. The chassis has two M.2 slots: one PCIe Gen4, taken by the original SSD, and a second PCIe Gen5 one, free. So you can add an even faster drive without removing the one already installed.
How far can you upgrade the memory on this MSI Vector 18 HX AI?
96 GB maximum, in DDR5-6400. The machine ships with 32 GB as two 16 GB modules, which fill both slots: upgrading therefore means replacing both modules, not adding a third.
Does this MSI Vector 18 HX AI have a memory card reader?
Yes, an SD Express reader, faster than standard SD readers — handy for offloading a video camera or photo camera card without an adapter. On top of that come three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two Thunderbolt 5 ports and an HDMI 2.1 output.
