Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Lens : a body photographed with a lens is very often sold body only: only the title (“body only”, “18-55 kit”…) states what is delivered.
  • Accessories : memory card, spare battery, charger, bag, tripod, lens hood and caps are not included unless stated.
  • Sample images : the sample photographs shown say nothing about the results you will get.
  • Screen and viewfinder : an articulating screen, electronic viewfinder and connectors depend on the reference.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Product overview

The Vanguard VESTA TB 204CB travel tripod relies on carbon fibre to combine rigidity and lightness. Folding down to just 38 cm, it slips into a backpack or cabin suitcase, then rises up to 130 cm with its centre column. Its four sections with twist locks extend quickly, and its T-46 ball head with QS-64 quick-release plate frames on every axis in one movement. The reversible column opens the way to ground-level shots. A stable companion that supports up to 3 kg without weighing down your bag.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How much space does this Vanguard tripod take up when folded?
38 cm. It is a travel tripod: at this length, it fits in cabin luggage or can be strapped to a camera backpack.
What load does this VESTA TB 204CB tripod support?
Up to 3 kg. Compare this figure with the weight of your camera body with the lens mounted: it is a travel tripod, not a telephoto support.
Can you shoot at ground level with this tripod?
Yes: its centre column is reversible. Turned upside down, it places the camera below the level of the legs, which a tripod with a fixed column does not allow.
What height does this travel tripod reach?
130 cm, with the centre column extended. That is below eye level: the accepted trade-off for a tripod that folds down to 38 cm.
Is this Vanguard VESTA TB 204CB tripod new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new Vanguard product, barcode 4719856247922, in carbon fibre. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Keep it in case a defect is found.
