Your laptop sheltered
in a 40 mm shell.

The 5130 wraps a 15-inch MacBook Air or a 14-inch laptop in rigid EVA foam walls. Opened flat, it becomes a work surface: the laptop stays strapped in and air flows underneath.

Four straps, no play

At each corner, an elastic strap goes over the corner of the laptop and holds it against the base: the machine does not shift inside the case during the journey. All around, the EVA foam panels absorb knocks.

Work without taking it out

The base is lined with raised pads. Between the ribs, air circulates under the laptop, which limits heat build-up when you use it inside the open case on a desk. Closed, the case is carried by its handles or on the shoulder with the removable strap supplied.

The pocket measures 350 × 250 × 25 mm: compare it with the dimensions of your laptop, not just its diagonal. For a 15.6-inch laptop, the 5131 from the same collection has a 375 × 250 mm pocket.

Which laptop fits in the Rivacase 5130 case?
A 15-inch MacBook Air or a laptop up to 14 inches. The inner pocket measures 350 x 250 x 25 mm: this is the dimension to compare with your machine. For a standard 15.6-inch laptop, which is wider, the 5131 from the same Antishock collection has a 375 x 250 mm pocket.
Can you work without taking the laptop out of the case?
Yes. With the case opened flat, the laptop stays held by the straps at the four corners and rests on a base lined with ribbed pads. These ribs let air circulate under the machine and limit heat build-up when you use it lying in its case, on a desk or on your lap.
Does the 5130 case really protect against knocks?
Yes, that is its purpose: the walls are rigid EVA foam panels that cushion impacts, the base is padded and the laptop, strapped at the corners, does not move during transport. The whole case stays only 40 mm thick.
Is the case rain-resistant?
It protects against a shower: its polyester and polyurethane outer material is water-repellent, so water beads and runs off the surface instead of soaking in. Inside, the EVA foam panels form a second barrier around the laptop during a journey in the rain.
How do you carry the Rivacase 5130 case?
By hand with its soft handles, or on the shoulder with the supplied shoulder strap, which is removable and adjustable in length. Without the strap, it slides flat into a backpack or suitcase as a protective shell; with it, it becomes a carrying case in its own right.
What are the dimensions and weight of the 5130 case?
It measures 370 x 270 mm and is 40 mm thick, and weighs 593 g empty. Its inner pocket is 350 x 250 x 25 mm. These dimensions make it a slim case designed for a single device, which can be slipped as is into a larger bag if needed.
