What size of laptop actually fits in this HP Everyday 14" bag?
Up to 14 inches diagonal (35.8 cm). The measurement that matters is the compartment's: the maximum recommended size is 340 × 220 × 28 mm, thickness included, so measure your laptop before ordering. The bag itself measures 360 × 45 × 260 mm.
Does the laptop compartment really protect against knocks?
Yes. The computer compartment is padded with EPE foam and the back panel is also cushioned — the two sides most exposed when the bag is put down — all in water-resistant 600D polyester with a zip closure.
How many storage spaces are there besides the laptop compartment?
The usable capacity is 8 litres, split into three compartments: computer, main and accessories. On the outside, a quick-access pocket and accessory pockets; on the inside, accessory pockets and a pen loop. A built-in key holder saves you rummaging through the main compartment.
Can it be attached to a wheeled suitcase?
Yes. A trolley pass-through on the back lets you slide it over a suitcase's telescopic handle. It can also be carried by hand or with the supplied padded shoulder strap, which can be removed completely. Empty, it weighs just 420 g: hardly anything added to the weight of the laptop.
Is the bag really made from recycled materials?
Yes, and the figures are given: the fabric contains at least 60% post-consumer recycled plastic, the equivalent of 19 plastic bottles. The LDPE bag is made from 100% recycled plastic, the label from 100% recycled paper, and the packaging is FSC® certified. The fabric is still a 600D polyester.
What exactly is in the package?
The bag and its straps: that is the complete content of the box. Odyssey Gray colour, outer fabric and lining in 100% polyester, with overall dimensions of 360 × 45 × 260 mm and 420 g. The packaged product weighs 439 g, and it is made in Indonesia.
How do you clean it if it gets stained?
With a clean, damp cloth, then leave it to air-dry: that is the care specified for this model. The 600D polyester is water-resistant, with both the outer fabric and the inner lining in 100% polyester.
Is the HP Everyday 14" bag new and under warranty?
Yes: a new, genuine bag in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the 1-year warranty document. The reference to keep is A08JSAA. Details of the materials, pockets and dimensions are in the HP datasheet (PDF).
