The EPP-22B moves through the slides from a distance and points out, with its laser, the figure or diagram being discussed: the speaker leaves the computer and takes back their place in front of the audience.

One USB receiver and you are ready
The receiver plugs into a USB port on the computer; the remote then talks to it wirelessly on the 2.4 GHz band. Windows and Mac both recognise it: a speaker arriving with their own machine keeps the same gesture. The red beam is clearly visible on a projection screen, even from the back of a large room.
A laser dot is hard to see on a television panel and invisible to remote participants in a video conference: in those rooms, a digital pointer is a better fit.

How does the EPP-22B remote connect to the computer?
Through a USB receiver. You plug it into a USB port on the computer and the remote communicates with it wirelessly on the 2.4 GHz band, with no cable between the speaker and the computer. It works with a Windows computer as well as with a Mac, so the speaker can keep the same remote whatever computer the room has.
What colour is the laser, and how far does it reach?
Red, with a range of up to 200 m. That is ample to point at a precise spot on a projection screen from the back of a large room or a lecture hall. As with any laser pointer, never aim the beam at anyone's eyes, and keep the remote out of the reach of children.
What is a presentation remote such as the EPP-22B used for?
It lets you move through the slides from a distance, without staying behind the computer, while showing the audience the detail being discussed with the laser pointer.
