The MF651Cw runs on four Canon 067 cartridges: a black of about 1,350 pages and three colours — cyan, magenta, yellow — of about 1,250 pages each. Canon offers all four of those part numbers in a high-capacity 067H version: 3,130 pages for the black, more on the colours too.

That is rarer than it sounds. On most laser families, only the black comes in high capacity, because it is the one that runs out fastest in office use. The 067 series offers all four colours in an H version.
That does not make it the right default choice, though. High capacity in colour only makes sense if you genuinely print in colour — brochures, presentations, sales material. If your colours only serve a logo in a letterhead, a standard 067 set will take months to empty, and an opened laser cartridge has no business staying in place too long. In that case, take a 067H in black only, and keep the colours at standard capacity.
It is the only one in its series without an automatic document feeder: you scan and copy page by page, lid raised. It prints at 18 pages per minute in A4, and up to 38 in A5 landscape. A 12.7 cm colour touchscreen, Wi-Fi and Ethernet, a 250-sheet cassette, no fax.
The lack of a feeder has a measurable effect on consumption: copy runs become tedious enough to be given up, and cartridges last longer than on an MF657Cdw at comparable activity.
Canon quotes a maximum cycle of 30,000 pages a month and a recommended volume of 250 to 2,500. The first figure is a mechanical limit, the second the only useful basis for calculation: at the 2,500-page ceiling, a 067 black lasts barely two weeks, a 067H a little over a month.
