The two part numbers follow one another, share the same W15 prefix and serve compact HP monochrome lasers. The marker is not the cartridge but the machine: the 150A is for the LaserJet M110 and M111, the 151A for the LaserJet Pro 4003 and 4103. Read the full name on the front before ordering; when in doubt, the code W1500A is printed on the cartridge you are removing.
The M111a is the simplest of the range: it only prints, over USB, at 20 pages per minute, with no screen and no automatic duplex. That plainness has a direct effect on the consumable — without automatic duplex you print one side per sheet, so you use less toner for the same pack of paper. Without networking, the machine serves one person rather than five.
At 975 pages and unshared, one toner lasts a long time in a home or a one-person office. So the real question is not the cost per page but finding the right part number again in two years. Write it down now: 150A.
No, it is a guarantee. On a monochrome machine there is no colour to watch and no separate drum to reorder: one consumable line, one price to compare, no hesitation when ordering. Entry-level colour lasers, on the other hand, call for four toners and sometimes a drum — see the Color Laser 150a, whose name incidentally looks a great deal like this toner part number.
