Non-contractual photos

The visuals on this page are supplied by the manufacturer. They are frequently produced for a whole range — not for the exact model you are viewing: what you see in the photo is never a promise of what is included.

No exchange, return or cancellation will be accepted on the grounds that something seen in a photo (accessory, port, colour, keyboard layout, packaging…) is not found on the delivered product. Only the specifications written on the page are binding for the order.

What the image does not guarantee:

  • Compatibility : the printers visible in the image are only an example of use: only the exact reference of the consumable guarantees compatibility with your machine.
  • Quantity : an image of a multipack or a multicolour set says nothing about the packaging sold — the number of units and the colour are those of the title and the specifications.
  • Yield : standard, XL and high-yield versions most often share the same photo.
  • Colour : one image often serves several colours, and the shade you see depends on studio lighting as much as on your screen settings; the colour sold is the one in the title and the specifications.
  • Props and accessories : the items shown around the product (cables, stands, decorative objects, content displayed on screen) are not included unless explicitly stated.
  • Packaging : boxes, labels and bundles change with the manufacturer's revisions: the packaging delivered may differ from the one in the photo.

What is binding: the product title, this page's technical specifications, the description and, when provided, the manufacturer's PDF datasheet available in the downloads.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which printer does this HP 730 grey cartridge fit?
HP DesignJet T1700 series plotters. Check the model name on your machine: DesignJet cartridges are not interchangeable from one series to another.
How much ink does this HP 730 cartridge hold?
130 ml. On a large-format plotter, this is the volume of the top-up cartridges: the matte blacks in the same family often go higher.
Is this grey ink water-resistant?
It is a dye-based ink — also known as tinted ink — chosen for vivid colours. Dye-based inks are not pigment inks, and it is pigment inks that resist water and fading.
What is a grey cartridge used for on a plotter?
Grey is an ink in its own right on DesignJet printers: it refines gradients and neutral tones, whereas a grey built from cyan, magenta and yellow drifts towards green or pink.
What printing technology does this cartridge use?
HP Thermal Inkjet printing. This is the process specific to DesignJet printers: the printhead heats the ink to eject the droplet, and it is separate from the cartridge.
Is this HP 730 grey cartridge genuine and under warranty?
Yes, it is a genuine HP cartridge, reference P2V66A, weighing 210 grams. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year.
