Frequently asked questions about this product

Does the HP 729 printhead come with ink?
Yes, it is a complete kit: the box contains the printhead and 4 ink cartridges, one per colour — cyan, magenta, yellow and matte black.
Do all the supplied cartridges contain the same amount of ink?
No. The matte black is supplied in 69 ml, compared with 40 ml for each of the three colours. The volume of black supplied is therefore well above that of each colour taken individually.
Are the supplied inks all of the same type?
No. The matte black is a pigment-based ink, while the cyan, magenta and yellow are dye-based inks. This kit therefore combines two families of ink in a single package, using HP Thermal Inkjet.
Is this HP 729 printhead genuine and under warranty?
Yes: a genuine HP consumable, reference F9J81A, new and in its packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the 1-year warranty document. The whole kit weighs 0.83 kg. Check that your DesignJet plotter does call for an HP 729 printhead before ordering.
