This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is Wi-Fi included on the HP DesignJet T1600 plotter?
No: it requires the Jetdirect accessory, sold as an option. As standard, the machine connects via Gigabit Ethernet. This needs settling before installation, as it determines where the plotter can be placed on the premises.
How fast is the HP DesignJet T1600 plotter?
19 seconds per A1, or 180 A1 prints per hour — the fastest in this category. Its 128 GB of memory absorbs heavy CAD files without the machine pausing between two drawings.
Which ink cartridges does the HP DesignJet T1600 use?
HP 730 cartridges, in six colours — cyan, magenta, yellow, grey, photo black and matte black — in 130 ml or 300 ml. The printhead part number is HP 727 (B3P06A): it is a separate consumable, to be included in the running budget.
Can the HP DesignJet T1600 print from a USB flash drive?
Yes, direct printing from a USB flash drive is one of its interfaces. It also accepts jobs sent by email via HP ePrint and from iOS, Android and Chrome OS mobile apps.
Is loading the roll easy on the HP DesignJet T1600?
It is done from the front, with automated loading. The machine has a built-in output stacker, a media bin and an automatic horizontal cutter: prints stack up on their own, without an operator having to collect them one by one.
Is the HP DesignJet T1600 plotter suitable for a corporate network?
Yes. It supports IPsec, 802.1X authentication (LEAP, PEAP, EAP-TLS), SSL/TLS and SNMP v3, and is managed through HP JetAdvantage Security Manager. That is the level an IT department requires before connecting a machine to the network.
What formats does the HP DesignJet T1600 accept?
From A4 to A0, on a 914 mm roll width, with custom formats from 210 x 279 to 914 x 1,219 mm. Media thickness can reach 0.5 mm, which covers tracing paper as well as heavy coated paper.
How much power does the HP DesignJet T1600 plotter use?
100 W when printing, less than 36 W when idle, less than 1 W in sleep mode and 0.3 W when off. The 36 W at idle is the figure to watch: that is the state an engineering office machine spends most of its day in.

3 mm on all four sides on rolls, but 3 x 22 x 3 x 3 mm on sheets — 22 mm on one edge. A difference to factor in right from the drawing layout if the title block runs to the very edge of the format.
