1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Is the Aruba J9986A module a standalone switch?
No: it is an expansion card for Aruba/HPE 5400R zl2 modular switches. It must be installed in a compatible chassis, which provides its power and management. On its own, it does not work.
How many PoE+ ports does the Aruba J9986A module add?
24 Gigabit 10/100/1000BASE-T ports, all with PoE+. This is the key point: power over the cable is available on every port, not just on half of them as with some cards.
What does the PoE+ on the Aruba J9986A module's ports make possible?
Powering devices over the network cable: Wi-Fi access points, IP cameras, phones. A single Ethernet link carries both power and data, which removes the need for a power outlet where the device is installed.
Does the Aruba J9986A module encrypt network traffic?
Yes, it supports MACsec, encryption applied at the link layer. On a network where cabling runs through shared spaces, it makes physical eavesdropping on the cables useless.
What are the dimensions of the Aruba J9986A module?
26.16 x 20.65 x 4.45 cm for 0.85 kg — the size of a zl2 chassis bay. The number of bays still free in the switch determines how many additional modules it can take.
Is the Aruba 24-port PoE+ J9986A module new and under warranty?
New, reference J9986A, in original HPE Aruba packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested if you make a claim.
