Frequently asked questions about this product
How many modules does this Corsair Vengeance LPX kit contain?
Two 8 GB modules, i.e. 16 GB in total, to be installed in two slots on the motherboard. This is what lets you take advantage of dual-channel mode, which is faster than a single module of the same capacity.
Does anything need to be enabled to reach 3,200 MHz?
Yes: the XMP 2.0 profile is enabled with a single setting in the BIOS. It is this profile that applies the 3,200 MHz frequency and the CL16-18-18-36 timings at 1.35 V.
Does this DDR4 kit work on a DDR5 motherboard?
No: a DDR4 slot is required, as the connector on a DDR5 motherboard is different. The form factor, on the other hand, is the standard 288-pin DIMM used in desktop PCs.
Does this Corsair kit work on AMD as well as Intel?
Yes: the Vengeance LPX series is developed for modern Intel and AMD platforms, with components selected to remain stable under heavy load.
How does this Corsair memory dissipate heat?
Through an anodised aluminium heatsink fitted on each module. The multi-layer PCB also limits interference, which matters when you push the memory beyond its rated frequency.
What is the latency of this Vengeance LPX 3200 kit?
CL16-18-18-36. A CAS latency of 16 at 3,200 MHz is the reference setting for performance DDR4: it targets response time rather than raw frequency alone.
What colour are these Corsair memory modules?
Black, heatsink included. A neutral shade that suits most builds, including behind a glass side panel.
Is this Corsair 16 GB DDR4 kit new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new Corsair product, part number CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, barcode 843591070454. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it in case a defect is found.
