How do I activate the USB ports on the ViewSonic VG2408?
By connecting the monitor to the computer with the supplied USB A/B cable, plugged into the USB 3.2 Type-B upstream port. The monitor's two USB 3.2 Type-A ports then become active, for a keyboard, a mouse or a flash drive.
Does the VG2408's stand really offer every adjustment?
Yes, that is its selling point: 130 mm of height adjustment, tilt from -4° to +28°, 90° pivot in either direction for portrait mode, and 360° swivel on the base. Enough to set the screen at the right height and get through the day without neck strain.
Does the VG2408's 100 Hz work on the VGA input?
No: over HDMI 1.4 and DisplayPort 1.2, the vertical range runs from 48 to 100 Hz; on the analogue VGA input, it stops at 75 Hz. For 100 Hz you therefore need a digital connection — the HDMI cable is supplied.
What video inputs does the ViewSonic VG2408 offer?
Three: HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 and VGA, with a 3.5 mm audio output. The monitor can therefore accommodate a recent computer as well as an older one, and switches from one to the other from its menu.
Does the VG2408 have built-in speakers?
Yes, two 2 W speakers, complemented by a 3.5 mm audio output for headphones. Enough to follow an online meeting without adding speakers to an already crowded workstation.

16 W in typical use, 18 W at maximum, and as little as 12 W in power-saving mode. The monitor plugs directly into the mains with a three-pin plug, with no external brick.
How much space does the VG2408 take up, and can it be mounted on an arm?
542 mm wide, 223 mm deep and 386.2 to 516.2 mm high depending on the adjustment, weighing 5.2 kg with the stand — 3.2 kg without. VESA 100 x 100 mm mounting is provided if you prefer a monitor arm.
