Frequently asked questions about this product
Does the MSI PRO MP245PG E14 stand support portrait mode?
Yes, which is rare at this size: the stand offers tilt from -5° to +20°, swivel from -45° to +45°, 130 mm of height adjustment and pivot from -90° to +90° to turn the panel upright. Handy for reading a long document or code without scrolling.
Can a mini PC be mounted behind the MP245PG E14?
Yes, the stand is designed to hold a mini PC at the back of the monitor: the computer comes off the desk and cable runs get shorter. The monitor also accepts a standard VESA mount.
What video inputs does the MP245PG E14 offer?
Three: a DisplayPort 1.4a, an HDMI 2.0 rated for Full HD at 144 Hz, and a VGA port. It therefore accepts a recent machine as readily as an older PC, with an audio input and a headphone output as well.
My laptop only has a USB-C output: can I connect this MSI monitor?
The picture comes in through DisplayPort, HDMI or VGA. From a laptop whose only video output is USB-C, you therefore need a USB-C-to-DisplayPort or USB-C-to-HDMI adapter, and should first check that this USB-C port supports video on your machine.
Does the MP245PG E14 have speakers?
Yes, two 2 W speakers are built in, fed by the monitor's audio input or by the HDMI and DisplayPort signal. There is also a headphone output, so you can switch over without going round the computer.
Is 144 Hz really useful on a business monitor?
Yes, beyond gaming: at 144 Hz, scrolling through a spreadsheet or a web page and cursor movements are much sharper than at 60 Hz, which reduces fatigue over a working day. The adaptive sync range covers 48 to 144 Hz.
Do the MP245PG E14's thin bezels make a difference in a multi-monitor setup?
That is what they are for: the PerfectEdge design slims the bezel on all four sides, so two monitors side by side leave only a thin black line in the middle of the picture instead of a wide band.
How good are the MP245PG E14's panel and colours?
A 23.8-inch Full HD IPS panel, at 300 nits and a 1500:1 contrast ratio, with a 0.2745 mm pixel pitch. The response time is 1 ms MPRT and 4 ms grey-to-grey — two different measurements, the second being the more demanding.
What do MSI's EyesErgo and Eye-Q Check technologies offer?
EyesErgo combines flicker-free operation and blue light reduction, and the monitor is TÜV certified. Eye-Q Check also offers a quick eyesight test and a break reminder when the monitor is used for a long time.
How much does the MSI MP245PG E14 weigh and how much space does it take up?
5.25 kg net, 7.51 kg packaged: it is heavier than a monitor with a fixed stand, the price of a four-way adjustable stand and a mini PC mount. The panel alone measures 539.36 x 314.67 mm and is 51.71 mm thick.
Is the MSI PRO MP245PG E14 monitor new and under warranty?
Yes: new, in its original packaging, with a one-year warranty; your invoice serves as the warranty document. The manufacturer's technical document is attached to this page.
