Frequently asked questions about this product
What is a CUDIMM memory module and how does it differ?
It is a 288-pin DIMM that incorporates a clock driver (CKD). This component buffers and stabilises the clock frequency: it is what allows DDR5 to go beyond the usual speed tiers without losing stability.
Which motherboards is this ADATA DDR5-6400 memory module certified on?
It is certified by the four major motherboard brands for maximum compatibility with the Intel Z890 chipset, and supports Intel Core Ultra desktop processors (Series 2).
What uses is this DDR5-6400 memory intended for?
Large data volumes: generative AI and deep learning, but also 3D rendering and animation. These are the workloads where memory bandwidth, more than processor power alone, determines how long you wait.
Does this memory module correct memory errors?
Yes, through on-die ECC error correction, in real time. ADATA highlights the side effect: fewer calculations left to the processor, and therefore more resources for the application itself.
What is the latency of this ADATA 6400 memory module?
CAS 52-52-52 at 6,400 MT/s, at 1.1 V. With DDR5, the latency figure rises with frequency: it is the far higher bandwidth that delivers the gain.
Is this product a kit of two modules?
No: it is sold as a single unit, individually packaged. The other slots on the motherboard remain free for a later upgrade.
How does this memory module manage its power supply?
Through a power management IC (PMIC) built into the module itself, which stabilises the power supply instead of leaving it to the motherboard. Its operating range is 0 to 85 °C.
Is this ADATA 32 GB DDR5 memory module new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new ADATA product, part number AD5CU640032G-S, barcode 4711658150042. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Datasheet: ADATA CUDIMM 32 GB DDR5-6400.
Validated by Synology for a long list of DiskStation and RackStation models, it runs at 2666 MHz and is powered at 1.2 V. The 260-pin format fits the NAS internal slots.
Intended for a laptop or a mini PC: the 262-pin SO-DIMM format does not fit a tower. DRAM chips selected for stability, and installation with no configuration needed.
Works with recent AMD and Intel platforms. Power management built into the module (PMIC) at 1.1 V and on-die error correction, with around 8% lower consumption than DDR4.
Registered in the RDIMM format: it only works in a server designed for that type of memory. Qualified by HPE on its platforms, with error detection that avoids needless replacements.
Laptops and mini PCs: the 262-pin SO-DIMM format does not fit a tower. CAS latency 46-45-45-90, 1.1 V voltage and JESD79-5A compliance, on Intel and AMD platforms alike.
Boost your desktop PC's performance with the Silicon Power U-DIMM 16GB DDR5-5600 MHz CL46 memory module. Designed for the latest-generation processors, it delivers a speed of 5600MT/s for exceptional responsiveness and smooth multitasking. Its low 1.1V voltage optimises power consumption, while On-D
Designed for HPE ProLiant Gen9, Gen10 and Gen10 Plus servers, as well as for the Apollo, Synergy and Blade ranges. Stated target: cloud computing, virtualisation and databases.
Intended for mainstream HPE Compute platforms, this server memory is tested and authenticated by HPE before shipping. CAS latency 22-22-22, 1.2 V voltage and unbuffered operation.

A single module to slide into a free slot on a desktop PC: the long format does not fit a laptop, and the motherboard has to accept this generation of memory.
Careful cooling: a 42 mm tall black aluminium heat spreader, to be measured before sliding it under a large CPU cooler. XMP 2.0 profile on Intel, Ryzen support on AMD, for 25600 MB/s of bandwidth.
Compliant with JEDEC standards, it installs with no tuning and runs at 1.2 V to limit heat inside the case. Bandwidth of 25,600 MB/s and compatibility validated on the common Intel and AMD platforms.
Works with recent AMD and Intel platforms. Power management built into the module (PMIC) at 1.1 V and on-die error correction, with around 8% lower consumption than DDR4.
