This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many processors can be installed in this PowerEdge T160?
Only one: the chassis has just one processor socket, occupied by an Intel Xeon 6, with 16 GB of memory and 2 TB of storage in the configuration supplied. Moving to dual-processor is therefore not possible — something to factor in from the sizing stage if you are planning heavy virtualisation.
Can it be managed remotely without connecting a monitor or keyboard?
Yes, via iDRAC, the remote management controller of PowerEdge servers. It is part of the OpenManage portfolio — discovery, deployment, monitoring, updates and security — and works with OpenManage Enterprise and CloudIQ to automate the server lifecycle.
Can it be installed in an occupied office, or does it need a dedicated technical room?
It is designed for exactly that: a compact chassis built for offices where noise must be kept low, with easily removable filter panels that protect it from dust and grease. It is intended for the near edge and SMEs, not just server rooms.
What network connectivity is built in as standard?
Two built-in Intel 1 Gb Ethernet ports, complemented by iDRAC remote management. With two links, you can dedicate one interface to backup or management without adding a network card.
What protections does the server have against a firmware-level attack?
The PowerEdge cyber-resilient architecture relies on Silicon Root of Trust technology, secured component verification, signed firmware, configuration drift detection, BIOS recovery and dynamic System Lockdown. Enough to support a Zero Trust security approach.
What is the chassis made of, and has its environmental impact been taken into account?
The T160 is made from recycled materials and uses unpainted steel, which reduces the use of finishing chemicals. A useful point to document if your company applies CSR commitments to its IT purchasing.
Is the Dell PowerEdge T160 server new and under warranty?
Yes: a new server, sealed in its original packaging, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. The starting configuration combines a Xeon 6, 16 GB of memory and 2 TB of storage; for a custom configuration, request a quote.
