Can it be used as a pen display connected to a PC, like a Cintiq?
No. The MovinkPad 11 is a standalone Android tablet: it works on its own, with its own apps, and has no video output. It therefore cannot act as a second screen or as a drawing surface for a computer.
Is a mains charger included in the box?
No. The box contains the tablet, the Wacom Pro Pen 3 with its nib holder, three replacement felt nibs, a USB-C to USB-C cable and the regulatory documentation. So you will need a USB-C mains adapter, such as the one for your phone.
What type of power source charges it fastest?
A USB-C mains adapter: the tablet then accepts 9 V / 2 A. Connected to a computer's USB-A port with a USB-A to USB-C cable, it is limited to 5 V / 2 A, which means noticeably slower charging. As the supplied cable is already USB-C to USB-C, all you need is the mains adapter.
Does the pen need charging or pairing before you draw?
Never. The Pro Pen 3 works by electromagnetic resonance (EMR): no battery, no charging, no pairing. It offers 8,192 pressure levels, tilt detection up to ±60° and three customisable side buttons, and weighs just 9.9 g.
If I lose the supplied pen, can I use another one?
Yes. The screen uses Wacom EMR technology and supports a wide range of EMR pens: older Wacom UD models, but also LAMY, Staedtler, Kaweco and the Samsung S Pen. No pairing or charging is needed, whichever pen you use.
What should you do when the pen nib eventually wears out?
It can be replaced directly using the compact nib holder supplied, which also doubles as a built-in nib remover. The box contains three replacement felt nibs.
Does the surface feel slippery like bare glass, or does it have grip like paper?
It has grip: the panel is etched glass with anti-glare treatment (AG + AF), for a natural, paper-like drawing feel. The active drawing area measures 243 × 159 mm, on an 11.45-inch 3:2 IPS screen, with a pixel pitch of 0.11 mm for 2200 × 1440 pixels.
Is the screen's colour accuracy good enough for publishing illustrations?
The IPS screen covers 99% of the sRGB colour space, with 400 cd/m² brightness, a 1,200:1 contrast ratio and a depth of 8 bits per channel (24-bit). A level suited to illustration, comics and work intended for on-screen viewing.
Can you zoom and rotate the drawing directly with your fingers?
Yes: the screen is capacitive multi-touch with up to 10 fingers, in addition to pen input. The screen has a response time of 15 ms and a viewing angle of 170° on both axes.
Which drawing software is included, and for how long?
Wacom Canvas comes preinstalled and opens with a single tap of the pen thanks to Quick Draw. On top of that comes a 2-year Clip Studio Paint DEBUT licence, activated by registering the tablet with a Wacom ID: after those two years, it is no longer included.
Can it be used as an ordinary Android tablet beyond drawing?
Yes. With access to Google Play, it runs YouTube, Chrome, Gmail, Drive and apps for classes or note-taking. It has two cameras (5 MP front, 4.7 MP rear), two microphones and stereo speakers for video calls.
How do you transfer your drawings to a computer or a USB flash drive?
The USB-C port supports OTG devices (5 V / 1.65 A output). One limitation to be aware of: it is wired as USB 2.0, so it is slow with large files. Wacom Shelf automatically organises sketches and references so you can reopen them later from a PC.
Is there a built-in stand or kickstand to tilt it on a table?
No, the MovinkPad 11 has no built-in stand adjustment: it lies flat or is held in the hand. At 7 mm thick and 588 g (266 × 182 mm), an ordinary off-the-shelf tablet stand is enough to prop it up.
Can it be secured with a lock cable in a classroom or shared studio?
No: the MovinkPad 11 has no Kensington security slot. In a school or shared workspace, plan for lockable storage rather than a lock cable.
Is the Wacom MovinkPad 11 tablet new and under warranty?
Yes: the tablet is new and sealed in its original packaging, part number DTHA116CL0B, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. The Pro Pen 3, its nib holder, the three replacement felt nibs and the USB-C cable are all included in the box.
