This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What does the OEM version of this RTX 6000 Ada include?
Reference VCNRTX6000ADA-SB is the bulk version: it includes the card and its power cable. The boxed version adds a quick start guide and a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. The hardware and performance are strictly the same; only the packaging changes.
What power connector does the RTX 6000 Ada need?
One 16-pin PCIe CEM5 connector, for a total power consumption of 300 W. The required cable comes with the card. However, check that your workstation's power supply can handle these 300 W on top of the processor, drives and the rest of the configuration.
Can two RTX 6000 Ada cards be linked with NVLink?
No. This generation does not support NVLink: two cards installed in the same workstation work side by side, with no bridge and no pooled memory, each keeping its own 48 GB. Applications that can spread a workload across several GPUs take advantage of this; those that expect a unified memory space do not.
What is 48 GB of ECC memory for on a workstation card?
The 48 GB of GDDR6 is protected by error correction, with 960 GB/s of bandwidth on a 384-bit bus. ECC detects and corrects memory errors on the fly: over a render lasting several hours or the training of a model, a single silent error would be enough to invalidate the result. It is the prerequisite for reproducible computation.
How many monitors does the RTX 6000 Ada drive, and at what resolution?
Four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, and as many simultaneous monitors: four at 4096 × 2160 at 120 Hz, four at 5120 × 2880 at 60 Hz, or two at 7680 × 4320 at 60 Hz. DisplayPort also carries audio and HDCP 2.2 is supported, enough to run a multi-monitor editing workstation without an external box.
Can this card be shared between several users through virtualisation?
Yes, it is compatible with NVIDIA's vGPU software layer — vPC, vApps and RTX Virtual Workstation — which splits the card into profiles assigned to virtual machines; the corresponding licences are purchased separately. The card also supports GPUDirect for Video and RDMA remote memory access.
Does the RTX 6000 Ada encode in AV1?
Yes, for both encoding and decoding, with three encoding engines and three decoding engines working in parallel. Several video streams can therefore be processed at the same time, which matters in video production and broadcasting, where AV1 adds to the formats already supported.
Can several cards be synchronised for a video wall?
Yes, via the Quadro Sync II synchronisation card, with which it is compatible, and via Mosaic technology, which presents several monitors as a single display surface. This is the set-up used for video walls, control rooms and multi-channel projection installations.
How much space does the RTX 6000 Ada take up in a case?
Two slots, full height — 11.2 cm — with active cooling, in a PCI Express 4.0 x16 slot. Allow the clearance needed for airflow and a power supply that can handle the card's 300 W: this is a workstation model, not a mini-tower one.
Are its drivers certified for professional applications?
Yes. Professional RTX cards are certified with a wide range of professional applications, tested by independent software vendors and by workstation manufacturers, and backed by a dedicated support team. It is this cross-validation that sets a workstation card apart from a gaming card.
Is the card new and under warranty?
Yes, new and covered for 1 year, with your invoice serving as the warranty document. The exact reference is VCNRTX6000ADA-SB; all the specifications are in the PNY technical documentation.
