1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does it need a SIM card to work?
No. It connects over dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz) first. The 4G Nano SIM card, not included, serves as an automatic backup: it takes over as soon as the Wi-Fi drops, with no action on your part.
How long does it last without sun?
With its 10,000 mAh battery fully charged, it lasts up to 270 days in Wi-Fi mode and up to 70 days in 4G mode, the cellular connection being more power-hungry. These values are measured in the laboratory; actual use may vary.
How much sunshine does it need to recharge?
45 minutes of direct sunlight are enough to cover a full day of use, which avoids any battery worries once the installation is done.
Can it be installed far from any power outlet?
Yes, that is its purpose: built-in solar panel and 4G backup connection, with no mandatory cable or Wi-Fi. It suits farms, building sites, campsites or second homes where infrastructure is lacking.
Does video recording require a subscription?
No. Local storage on a microSD card (up to 512 GB, not included) is free. The Tapo Care subscription, with Cloud storage, remains optional and offers a free trial.
Can it record continuously, 24/7?
Yes, via its AOV function: it automatically switches from recording at 1 frame per second to 15 frames per second as soon as motion is detected. This continuous recording is only available with local storage on a microSD card, not with the Cloud.
Does facial recognition send my data to the cloud?
No. All facial data is processed locally, on the device, with no transfer to the Cloud: the camera recognises familiar faces to reduce false alerts while keeping your data at home.
Can it withstand rain and high heat?
Yes, it has an IP65 protection rating: sealed against rain and dust, it is designed to stay operational outdoors all year round, whatever the weather conditions.
