1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which Synology servers is the RKS-04 compatible with?
Synology specifies it for two models: the RackStation RS1626xs+ and the DP5200 data protection appliance. It is also the only rail kit listed for the RS1626xs+. Other RackStation models, such as the RS1226+, RS3626xs or RS2423RP+II, use the RKS-02 kit: check your server's model number before ordering.
Does the RKS-04 fit the depth of my rack?
It fits a mounting depth of 553 to 834 mm, measured between the front and rear posts of the rack. Outside that range, the rails cannot be fixed. The rack must also offer a mounting foot at least 450 mm wide and a panel at least 480 mm wide, which matches the 19-inch standard.
What type of mounting holes does the RKS-04 accept?
The two common formats of 19-inch racks: square holes of at least 9.5 x 9.5 mm, or round holes at least 7.1 mm in diameter. Check the shape and size of the holes in your rack posts before installation, as well as the rack's mounting depth, which must be between 553 and 834 mm.
Why choose sliding rails rather than fixed rails?
To pull the server out of the rack like a drawer, without removing it or unplugging its neighbours, when you need to work on a drive, a memory module or an expansion card. Fixed rails require taking the unit out. Synology presents the RKS-04 as a kit that makes maintenance easier on its rack-mounted models.
Is the RKS-04 included with the RS1626xs+?
No, the RS1626xs+ ships with its accessory pack, power cables and front bezel, but without rails: Synology lists the RKS-04 among its optional accessories. You therefore need to order it together with the server if it is to be installed in a 4-post rack.
