1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What does the HPE NS204i-u Gen11 boot device contain?
Two 480 GB M.2 NVMe SSDs, combined in hardware RAID 1. The mirrored volume is created automatically: there is nothing to configure.
Does this module take up a PCIe slot?
No: HPE specifies that this model no longer uses a PCIe slot, and that it is hot-pluggable, with no cables. The freed slot remains available for a network card or a controller.
Is this module configured like a RAID controller?
No: it appears to the system as a simple NVMe drive, not as a RAID controller. HPE describes it as “plug-and-play”, with no configuration or management.
Can this module be used in a mode other than RAID 1?
No: HPE states it explicitly — only RAID 1 mode is supported, and the module will not work in any other mode. It is a boot module, not a general-purpose controller.
Which systems does this boot module support?
Windows, Linux and VMware, with their native NVMe drivers — no driver to add during installation. HPE states that it meets VMware and Microsoft Storage certification requirements.
Why separate the system from data storage?
That is the module's purpose: HPE intends it for those who want to separate the data plane from the system plane. The system is protected by its own mirror, and the drive bays remain fully available.
Is this HPE NS204i-u Gen11 module new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new HPE product, reference P48183-B21. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year. Datasheet: HPE NS204i-u Gen11.
