1 year warranty — free repair in Morocco if it breaks down during the warranty period

1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How much cache memory does this HPE P408i-a controller have?
2 GB, as flash-backed write cache (FBWC). In the event of a power cut, the cache contents are written to flash memory instead of being lost — this is what protects writes in progress.
Does this controller handle RAID and HBA mode at the same time?
Yes: it supports RAID and HBA simultaneously. Some drives can therefore be exposed directly to the system — as distributed file systems require — while others remain in RAID.
Does this controller encrypt stored data?
Yes: it provides data-at-rest encryption. A drive removed from the server then remains unreadable without the key — a tender criterion in regulated environments.
How many drives can this controller manage?
It has eight internal lanes in SAS 12 Gbps, on a PCIe 3.0 interface. That is the number of links available to the server's backplane.
Is this HPE Smart Array P408i-a controller new and under warranty?
Yes, it is a new HPE product, reference 804331-B21, in modular format for 10th-generation servers. The invoice serves as the warranty document, for 1 year.
