1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

What does “tri-mode” mean on this HPE MR216i-a controller?
That it accepts SAS 12 Gb/s, SATA and NVMe PCIe Gen4 — all three drive types — in the same bay. This means you do not have to choose the storage technology when buying the server.
How many ports does this HPE MR216i-a controller offer?
Sixteen internal ports, organised in two groups of eight, on a sixteen-lane PCIe Gen4 host interface.
What does PCIe Gen4 on both sides of the controller bring?
HPE presents it as a first: these controllers offer PCIe Gen4 on the storage side AND on the host side, which allows wider bandwidth and more IOPS than a previous PCIe generation.
Which RAID levels does this controller support?
RAID 0, 1 and 10. RAID 1 and RAID 10 provide redundancy through mirroring; RAID 0 only adds throughput, with no data protection.
Does this controller verify the integrity of its firmware?
Yes, through Silicon Root of Trust security: the firmware is validated at boot against a fingerprint etched into the silicon. It is a criterion in data-centre tenders.
