Two screens,
a voice without plosives.
The HM18AG brings two pop filters together in one box: a steel mesh screen and a nylon fabric screen, each stretched in a double layer. A gooseneck and a clamp arm place them in front of the capsule, on the microphone stand.
Plosives stop before the capsule
Singing or speaking very close to a condenser microphone sends bursts of air onto the diaphragm: these are the p and b sounds that pop in the recording. Placed between the mouth and the microphone, the screen disperses them and holds back spit, without dulling the highs. Each screen has a 5/8″ threaded connector: it fits on the gooseneck or on the arm, which is itself tightened onto the stand tube by its clamp.
The filter attaches to the stand, not to the microphone: it sits in front of the capsule without screwing anything onto the microphone itself. The microphone is not supplied.
