The screen floats,

The VSC/001 replaces the original stand of a 17 to 32 inch screen with a gas spring monitor arm, fixed to the edge of the desktop. The screen sits at eye level, tilts, swivels and turns to portrait, and the space its stand used to take is free again for a keyboard, a control surface or notes.

Two ways to hold it to the desktop
The 35 mm pole fixes either with the supplied clamp, which grips the edge of a desktop 10 to 85 mm thick, or as a grommet mount, through a hole in the desktop, for a thickness of 10 to 40 mm. The parts for both mountings are in the box: choose according to the desk, with nothing more to buy.

The gas spring arm slides along the pole and places the screen up to 38 cm above the desk. The VESA plate, in 75 x 75 or 100 x 100 mm format, tilts from +35° to -35° and rotates by ±90°: the screen turns from landscape to portrait for a long page or a score. The arm articulates by ±180° at its joints and swivels by ±135° around the pole.

A plastic flange at the base of the arm routes the screen cables neatly, and a clip along the pole leads them down to the desktop. This clip also holds the two Allen keys of 4 and 6 mm supplied for tightening and adjustments. The VESA plate comes off the arm with a small screw: fix it to the back of the screen first, then hook the whole assembly onto the arm.
