The 27105 is König & Meyer's entry-level boom microphone stand: a tripod with folding legs, a tube adjustable from 900 to 1,600 mm and an 805 mm boom, for vocals and instruments, in rehearsal as in the studio.

Two adjustments, two locks
The height is set with the clamping sleeve: loosen it, slide the upper tube, tighten it wherever you want, with no fixed steps. The one-piece boom pivots on its swivel head from +90° to -90° and is locked by a wing nut. Held horizontally, it brings the microphone 805 mm in front of the tube, to get close to the source without moving the tripod closer.
Steady, as long as the boom is over a leg
The three folding legs start from a fibreglass-reinforced plastic socket, and their TPE caps spare parquet floors. K&M links the stand's stability to three conditions: a level, load-bearing floor, a load of 1 kg at most, reserved for microphones, and a boom pointing over one of the three legs.
The cable held, the microphone locked
Two cable holders, 20 mm on the tube and 15 mm on the boom, keep the microphone cable against the stand. The microphone screws onto the 3/8" thread, and two knurled aluminium lock nuts fix its orientation once the right angle is found.
Folded, it fits in a car boot
Once the legs are closed, the size drops to 105 x 85 x 960 mm for 2.32 kg: the 27105 moves from one rehearsal room to another in a simple stand bag.

How high does the K&M 27105 microphone stand go?
From 90 to 160 cm. The upper tube slides inside the base tube and is locked at the chosen height by a clamping sleeve, with no fixed steps. At the top of the stand, the 805 mm boom then brings the microphone towards the voice or the instrument without having to move the tripod closer.
Is the boom of the 27105 telescopic?
No: it is a one-piece boom with a fixed length of 805 mm. It pivots on its swivel head from +90° to -90°, so it can be held horizontally, raised or angled down towards the source, and it is then locked with a wing nut.
Which microphones can be fitted on this stand?

How do I keep the stand steady while recording?
Set it on a level, solid floor and point the boom over one of the three legs: K&M states that stability depends on the load, the floor and the position of the boom. Keep it for microphones of 1 kg or less and protect it from passing audiences.
Can the stand mark a parquet floor?
Its three legs end in TPE caps, a soft elastomer chosen by K&M to protect parquet floors and kept as free of plasticisers as possible. On a particularly fragile floor, K&M still advises adding a non-slip mat underneath.
Where does the microphone cable go?
The 27105 has two cable holders, one 20 mm in diameter on the stand tube and one 15 mm on the boom. The cable thus follows the stand and the boom up to the microphone instead of hanging loose.
