Frequently asked questions about this product

What does “toploading” mean on the Houston bag?
The laptop slides in from the top of the bag, without opening the compartment wide: you take out and put away the machine in a single movement. The top opening is the very principle of this model, whose main compartment is designed for a laptop up to 15.6 inches.
Is the laptop really protected from knocks in transit?
Yes: the compartment dedicated to the computer is reinforced and padded, for a laptop up to 15.6 inches. It is this separate compartment that provides the protection, not simply the volume of the bag.
Can you carry a tablet in it as well as the laptop?
Yes, a separate compartment holds a tablet up to 10.1 inches. At the front, a large zipped pocket with organiser takes the charger, smartphone and small accessories — so you do not have to rummage through the bag to find a cable.
Is the shoulder strap included, and can it be removed?
Yes, the carrying strap is included and removable: keep it to carry the bag on your shoulder with both hands free, or remove it when you prefer to carry it by hand.
Can it be attached to a wheeled suitcase?
Yes. A trolley strap is provided on the back of the bag: slide it over the suitcase handle and carry bag and luggage with one hand. When travelling, the bag no longer counts as a second piece of luggage to carry.
What material is this bag made of, and where does it come from?
It is made of canvas, a fabric chosen for its durability, and made in China. The Houston model was designed by PORT Designs' designers in their Paris design studio.
Is the bag new and under warranty?
Yes: a PORT Designs Houston bag, new in its original packaging, reference 110271, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year.
