1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.
  • If no product is available, a refund is issued as soon as the brand confirms it.

Faulty straight out of the box? Some brands offer an immediate exchange, others a repair. Contact us to find out what applies to your product.

The warranty covers breakdowns occurring under normal use, as defined by the brand's terms. Product breakage (drop, impact, liquid…) is not covered, nor are certain consumable parts.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Is the HV620S an SSD or a mechanical drive, and which interface does it use?
It is a 2.5-inch mechanical hard drive, not an SSD. It connects via USB 3.1 and remains backward compatible with USB 2.0, so it can also be used on an older machine.
Does it really fit in a laptop bag?
Yes, with no difficulty: only 11.5 mm thick, for 115 × 78 mm and 152 g. It slips easily into a briefcase or a backpack.
Does it need a mains power supply to work?
No: it is powered via the USB port at 5 V, the same cable handling both power and data transfer. No power adapter to carry, no socket to find.
What is in the box, and is the supplied cable enough on a USB 2.0 port?
The box contains the USB 3.1 cable and a quick start guide. On a USB 2.0 port, you need to connect the drive to two ports via a Y-cable, to be bought separately, for sufficient power.
Does the glossy finish of the HV620S scratch when you put it down on a desk?
The case is smooth and reflective, like a mirror. ADATA has added a raised lip on the edge of the drive: it protects the surface from scratches when the device is laid flat.
Can you connect the HV620S to a games console?
Yes, as backup storage for games that are not currently in use. Formatting may be required, and support for external drives varies by console.
What is the blue light on the drive for?
It lights up during data reads and writes. As long as it is active, do not unplug the drive: that is precisely what this light is for.
Is backup software offered with the HV620S?
Yes, Backup ToGo. It lets you set a schedule for automatic backups and send them to the drive, to a mobile device or to the cloud.
Is the drive new and under warranty?
Yes: the ADATA HV620S portable hard drive is new and comes with a 1-year warranty, the invoice serving as the warranty document. Supplied with its USB 3.1 cable and its quick start guide, it is recognised on Windows XP or later, macOS 10.6 or later and Linux (kernel 2.6 or later).
