Which toner fits the HP Laser Tank 1602w?

Two capacities, which is rare on a reload

Tank lasers rarely come in more than one format: most have a single reload size. Here the 154X doubles the autonomy of the 154A for an identical operation and a bottle barely bigger.

HP recommends a volume of 250 to 2,500 pages a month. At the floor, a 154A covers ten months; at the ceiling, just one — and the 154X, two. On a shared machine, the X version halves the number of interventions, which is the real cost of an empty reservoir.

The operation: fifteen seconds, and nothing to throw away

You open a hatch, fit the bottle onto the port, the powder goes down by gravity, you remove the empty bottle. It takes about fifteen seconds and the powder never travels in open air — there is nothing to handle, nothing to shake, and no plastic cartridge shell to discard.

Two habits all the same. Do not force it if the powder seems stuck: the transfer is slower when the room is cool, so leave the bottle in place a minute longer. And never try to open a bottle to "finish emptying it" — toner powder is extremely fine, it scatters through the whole room and cleans up very badly.

What reloading changes day to day

Unlike a cartridge, a reservoir cannot be "shaken" to gain a few pages: when it is empty, it is empty. In exchange, the low-level warning is reliable and resupply is easier to plan — you know exactly how many pages are left.

The machine prints 22 pages per minute, holds 150 sheets for 100 at the output, connects over Wi-Fi or Ethernet and shows its state on an icon display. Its maximum cycle reaches 25,000 pages.
