1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

What is the practical difference between the HP 963XL magenta and the standard 963 magenta?
The yield: 1,600 pages for the 963XL magenta versus 700 pages for the standard 963 magenta, or more than twice as many prints before replacement. The size does not change (114 × 25 × 126 mm) and the cartridge holds 23.25 ml of ink. On a workstation that regularly prints in colour, the XL version simply spaces out the changes.
Which printers does this 963XL magenta cartridge work with?
It is listed as compatible with the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 and 9020 series all-in-ones. The standard 963 and the 963XL share the same compatibility statement: switching to high capacity changes nothing on the printer side. The reliable marker when ordering remains the reference, 3JA28AE for the XL magenta.
Does the box also contain the cyan, yellow and black?
No, it is the magenta cartridge only. Each colour in the 963XL range has its own reference: 3JA27AE (cyan), 3JA29AE (yellow) and 3JA30AE (black, 2,000 pages). You therefore replace only the colour that has run out, but you need to plan for all four if every level is running low.
Do the stated 1,600 pages correspond to 1,600 pages of magenta?
No. It is a composite yield for cyan, magenta and yellow, measured according to the ISO/IEC 24711 standard on an OfficeJet Pro 9020, in continuous printing. The actual yield varies considerably depending on the content of the printed pages. The same method gives 700 pages for the standard version: the two figures remain comparable with each other.
What is the benefit of pigment ink for documents intended for archiving?
This cartridge uses pigment ink, and the range is stated to give long-lasting results: print permanence is based on the Wilhelm Imaging Research statement for storage away from light. Enough to print business documents that combine vivid colours and sharp black text.
What should I do with the 963XL cartridge once it is empty?
HP offers the HP Planet Partners return programme, which lets you recycle HP ink cartridges free of charge; its availability may vary. Genuine HP supplies are designed to be returned through this channel rather than thrown away.
Is this cartridge genuine and under warranty?
Yes: a new, genuine HP cartridge, reference 3JA28AE, warranted free from defects in materials and workmanship; the invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Yields and dimensions for the whole range are given in the HP 963 datasheet (PDF). The code 192545866545 printed on the packaging confirms the reference.
