Does the Cintiq Pro 24 work without a computer?
No. It is a pen display with no operating system: it must be connected to a computer — PC or Mac — that runs the software. It is not a standalone tablet, and this is a costly mix-up at the time of purchase.
Are the Cintiq Pro 24's colours accurate?
99% of the Adobe RGB colour space and 1.07 billion colours in 10-bit, on a high-brightness AHVA panel. Adobe RGB is the reference colour space for printing: what is displayed matches what the file contains.
What is the drawing area of the Cintiq Pro 24?
522 × 294 mm, in 16:9 format, on a 23.6-inch 4K screen. This is the active area — where the pen is recognised — and it determines how wide your strokes can be.
How good is this Cintiq's Pro Pen 2?
8,192 pressure levels at both the tip and the eraser, tilt recognition of ±60° and a resolution of 5,080 lpi. It works with no battery or cable and has two side buttons.
Which cables are supplied with the Cintiq Pro 24?
USB, DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0 and USB-C, plus a DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort adapter and a microUSB cable for the ExpressKey Remote. Nothing to buy to connect the display, whatever output your machine has.
Does the Cintiq Pro 24 need a separate stand?
No, the stand is built in, with two tilt positions — 5° or 20°. The display weighs 7.2 kg without the stand: make sure your work surface can take this weight.
What else is in the Cintiq Pro 24 box?
Ten replacement nibs, four colour rings to tell pens apart and a nib removal tool. Nibs wear through contact with the glass: ten spares easily cover the first year.
Is the Wacom Cintiq Pro 24 display new and under warranty?
New, reference DTK-2420, in original Wacom packaging, compatible with Windows and macOS, with 3 USB-C ports, DisplayPort and HDMI inputs and a headphone jack. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year.
