1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.
  • If the product cannot be repaired, the brand offers an exchange for another product.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Which printers take the HP 912XL yellow cartridge (3YL83AE)?
The HP OfficeJet 8010 and HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 all-in-one ranges. Check the exact series marked on your machine, then the reference 3YL83AE on the yellow cartridge you are replacing.
How many more pages than a standard 912 yellow cartridge?
Twice as many: the standard 912 yellow is rated at 315 pages and the 912XL prints 2 times as many pages. For the same print volume, you open the cover half as often to change the yellow.
Is the XL version bulkier in the carriage than the standard 912?
No: strictly identical dimensions, 106 × 23 × 113.5 mm, like the standard 912 yellow. Only the black 912XL has a thicker format, 106 × 44 × 115 mm. Switching to high capacity on the colours therefore changes nothing in the installation.
Does the stated page count match what I will get at home?
It is a standardised ISO/IEC 24711 measurement, carried out on an HP OfficeJet Pro 8010 in continuous printing. Actual yield varies considerably with the content of the printed pages: treat this figure as an order of magnitude. As the standard cartridge is measured in the same way, the comparison remains reliable.
Do I have to change all four colours as soon as the yellow runs out?
No. The 912 range uses individual inks: only the empty cartridge is replaced, here the yellow, while the black, cyan and magenta go on being used to the end. You only buy again what has actually been used up.
Is this reference sold on its own or in a colour pack?
On its own: it includes only the high-capacity yellow cartridge, i.e. 9.9 ml of pigment ink. The four-colour pack has a different reference, 6ZC74AE, and contains standard cartridges, not XL ones.
Do documents printed with this ink last over time?
The ink is pigment-based, designed for long-lasting results: the permanence of genuine HP prints has been assessed by Wilhelm Imaging Research for storage away from light.
Is the HP 912XL yellow cartridge genuine and under warranty?
Yes: a new, genuine HP cartridge, reference 3YL83AE (EAN 192545866941), under warranty for 1 year with the invoice. HP covers its cartridges against defects in materials and workmanship; the details are in the datasheet (PDF).
