What types of SSD does the Hiksemi MD202 enclosure accept?
It takes M.2 SSDs and supports both the NVMe and SATA protocols (thanks to the Realtek RTL9210B controller), as well as the 2242, 2260 and 2280 sizes.
Is the SSD included with the Hiksemi MD202 enclosure?
No. This is an enclosure only: you install your own M.2 SSD (NVMe or SATA) in it to turn it into an external drive.
What is the transfer speed of the Hiksemi MD202 enclosure?
It uses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface allowing up to 10 Gbps. To reach this speed, it must be connected to a 10 Gbps-compatible host port.
