Frequently asked questions about this product
What speed does the Epson FX-2190IIN reach?
Up to 738 characters per second in draft mode — the highest speed announced in this market segment. This speed comes from the 9-pin head, which favours throughput over character fineness.
Can the FX-2190IIN be shared on the network?
Yes, it has an Ethernet interface, in addition to USB and parallel. That is what the letter N in its reference indicates: several computers print to it without it depending on any one computer.
What is the stated reliability of the FX-2190IIN?
A rated life of 25,000 hours, up 25% on the previous generation. On a machine that runs continuously in a department, this is the figure that matters more than peak speed.
Does the FX-2190IIN handle multipart carbonless forms?
Yes, it is described as handling multipart forms. That is the hallmark of impact printing: the strike goes through several layers of paper in a single pass, which no laser can do.
What listing width does the FX-2190IIN accept?
136 columns, up to A3 format. This is the wide carriage for accounting reports and business listings. Its design has also been made more compact than that of the previous generation.
Is the Epson FX-2190IIN printer new and under warranty?
New, reference C11CF38402A0, in original Epson packaging, printing in black and white only, with no display and no Wi-Fi. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. The datasheet gives full details.
