How many fingers does the ViewSonic TD2230 recognise at the same time?
Ten simultaneous touch points, thanks to a projected capacitive touch panel. You tap, swipe and drag directly on the screen, with several hands at once, which makes it suited to interactive kiosks, points of sale and group work.
Can the TD2230 touch monitor lie flat on a table?
Yes: its stand tilts from 20° to 70°, so you can stand it upright like a conventional monitor or lay it almost horizontal to work on it like a tablet. The stand is removable and the monitor accepts a VESA 100 x 100 mm mount.
Does the TD2230's touch surface scratch easily?
It is protected by edge-to-edge glass with 7H hardness, a level designed for intensive finger use in public environments. This protection is what sets a kiosk monitor apart from an ordinary one.
Is an extra cable needed for the touch function to work?
Yes: in addition to the video cable, you need to connect the monitor to the computer through the upstream USB Type-B port, with the USB 3.0 cable included. This link carries the touch input and also activates the monitor's two USB Type-A ports.
Which video inputs does the TD2230 offer?
Three: HDMI 1.4, DisplayPort 1.2 and VGA, complemented by a 3.5 mm audio input and headphone output. The vertical frequency range is 50 to 76 Hz on all three inputs, which matches office or interactive kiosk use.
