What power supply and connector does the RTX 5060 Ti 16G VENTUS 2X OC PLUS need?
A single 8-pin PCI Express connector is enough, with the card drawing 180 W. It is as simple as installation gets: no adapter and no dual cable needed. Just check that your power supply has a free 8-pin PCIe output before you start.
What are the exact dimensions of this MSI RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB?
227 mm long, 127 mm high, 41 mm thick, in a dual-slot format taking up two PCI slots. It is not a low-profile card: measure the length available in your case, especially if a drive cage sits in front of the graphics slot.
Does this card have RGB lighting?
No, neither LEDs nor RGB lighting: the VENTUS series goes for a sober look, designed to blend into any build rather than draw the eye. A plus if your case is closed, or if you do not want to manage yet another lighting sync.
How many displays can you connect, and on which ports?
Four displays, via three DisplayPort 2.1b ports and one HDMI 2.1b output. The HDMI 2.1b standard supports up to 8K at 60 Hz with HDR, and the three DisplayPort outputs let you line up several high-definition monitors — for multi-screen gaming, productivity or a virtual reality headset.
What does “OC PLUS” mean, and what clock speed does the card run at?
A factory setting above NVIDIA's reference clock speeds: 2602 MHz boost, and 2617 MHz when you enable the “Extreme Performance” mode in the MSI Center software. You switch from one to the other with a single click in Windows, without touching any voltages.
16 GB of GDDR7: what does that bring for gaming and content creation?
Headroom. The memory runs at 28,000 MHz on a 128-bit interface and feeds 4,608 stream processors: complex textures, 4K editing and 3D projects run without saturating the memory. The target resolution remains 1440p, with 4K supported in titles that lend themselves to it.
Can you install two of these cards to combine their power?
No, multi-GPU is not supported on this model: two cards will not work together on the same game. To gain performance, replacing the card is the option to consider, not adding a second one.
Is the Stormforce cooling quiet?
MSI states it is designed for minimal noise: the seven blades of the Stormforce fan, textured and linked by a circular arc, are shaped for optimal airflow. The heat pipes have an enlarged contact area with the baseplate, and the metal backplate is vented and fitted with thermal pads.
Is this card suitable for video editing and 3D?
Yes. NVIDIA Studio brings dedicated drivers and optimisations for video editing, 3D modelling, animation, graphic design and photography. The built-in AI features speed up noise reduction, image upscaling and stylisation, cutting processing times.
