1 year manufacturer's warranty

This product is covered for 1 year by a manufacturer's warranty (the brand's official warranty). Your iris.ma invoice serves as the warranty document: keep it safe.

A problem with your product? Don't worry: contact us by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. Depending on the brand, we direct you either straight to the repairer appointed by the brand to fix your product, or to us — and we take care of the rest.

  • If a repair is possible, it is carried out free of charge.

Frequently asked questions about this product

How many Ethernet surge protectors should be installed on a link?
Two: one near the antenna, the other at the building entrance. A single module leaves a section of cable unprotected, and that is precisely where the surge gets in. This is the installation rule to remember.
Does the Ubiquiti surge protector let PoE power through?
Yes, it lets PoE 802.3af through. This is essential on an outdoor antenna powered over its network cable: a surge protector that cuts the power also cuts off the equipment it protects.
Does the Ubiquiti Ethernet surge protector need to be powered?
No: it consists of two female RJ45 connectors, with no power supply or configuration. You insert it on the cable and that is it — no settings, no administration, no updates.
How does the Ubiquiti surge protector discharge the surge?
Through the earth: it mounts on a mast and has an earthing screw. Without this earth connection, the module protects nothing: the surge has nowhere to go and continues on its way to the equipment.
At what voltage does the Ubiquiti surge protector trip?
At 90 volts DC. Below that, it remains transparent and lets data and power through; above it, it diverts the current to earth. It is rated for a discharge current of 10 kA.
Is the Ubiquiti Ethernet surge protector weather-resistant?
Its housing is made of IPX5 waterproof polycarbonate and it operates from -30 to 65 °C. IPX5 protects against water jets: that is the level expected of a module fixed at the top of a mast, exposed to driving rain.
Does the Ubiquiti surge protector slow down the network link?
It is rated to protect 10/100/1000 Mbps links, i.e. up to Gigabit. The module is passive: it introduces no processing or active equipment on the path, only two connectors and a discharge component.
Is the Ubiquiti Ethernet surge protector new and under warranty?
New, in original Ubiquiti packaging. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested in the event of a claim.
