Frequently asked questions about this product
What is the difference between the Reyee PSU 240W and the PSU 120W?
The current reserve: 4.4 A output versus 2.2 A, at the same voltage of 52.38 to 55.62 V. That is double, and it is what a heavily loaded industrial switch redistributing a lot of PoE requires.
Is the Reyee PSU 240W unit silent?
Yes, its cooling is passive, fanless. On a 240 W power supply, that is a real engineering choice: the metal housing acts as a heat sink, and there is no longer any moving part liable to fail.
Does the Reyee PSU 240W unit tolerate a variable input voltage?
It accepts 90 to 264 V AC, at 50 or 60 Hz. This range covers unstable grids as well as low-voltage installations: the power supply keeps delivering its rated output voltage without cutting out.
In what temperatures does the Reyee PSU 240W unit operate?
From -40 °C to +70 °C. That is an industrial range, designed for a non-air-conditioned cabinet exposed to the sun as well as for an unheated technical room: two situations where an office power supply shuts down.
What does the Reyee PSU 240W unit protect against?
Against short circuits, overcurrent, overvoltage and overheating, with 4 kV in common mode and 2 kV in differential mode on surges, and electrostatic protection of 8 kV air discharge, 6 kV contact discharge.
How do you install the Reyee PSU 240W unit in a cabinet?
It clips onto a DIN rail, the standard for technical cabinets and enclosures: the module snaps onto the rail, without screws. An LED indicator signals that output voltage is present, which speeds up any diagnosis.
What is the stated service life of the Reyee PSU 240W unit?
An MTBF of more than 150,000 hours — the mean time between two failures, or more than seventeen years of continuous service in theory. That is the figure that justifies an industrial power supply on an infrastructure you do not want to see stop.
Is the Reyee PSU 240W power supply new and under warranty?
New, in original Reyee packaging, intended for RG-NIS2100 switches. The invoice serves as the warranty document for 1 year. Keep it: it is the document that will be requested in the event of a claim.
