What is the difference between the RTX 5060 SHADOW 2X OC and a VENTUS?
The chassis and the heatsink. The SHADOW series aims to deliver the essentials of gaming performance for a system you are building or upgrading, with two TORX 5.0 fans, heat pipes and a vented backplate. The graphics processor, on the other hand, is the same RTX 5060 Blackwell with 3,840 CUDA cores.
What clock speed does the RTX 5060 SHADOW 2X OC run at?
2527 MHz boost, the factory setting of the OC model, and 2535 MHz when you enable the “Extreme Performance” mode from the MSI Center software. Switching from one to the other takes a single click, without manually adjusting any voltages.
Is TORX 5.0 cooling really more efficient?
Its blades are linked in threes by rings, which stabilises the airflow and maintains high air pressure over the heatsink. Added to this are heat pipes that draw heat away from the graphics processor and a backplate with an opening that lets hot air pass through the card.
What protects this card from electrical problems?
Additional fuses built into the circuit board, which add protection against electrical damage, and DrMOS power stages, more efficient and with improved voltage control. Clay-based thermal pads also dissipate the heat from sensitive components.
8 GB of GDDR7: for which gaming resolution?
1440p is the recommended resolution for this card. The GDDR7 memory runs at 28 Gbps and the Blackwell architecture brings 5th-generation Tensor cores and 4th-generation ray tracing cores, making it possible to enable realistic lighting without the frame rate collapsing, thanks to DLSS 4.
Is this card also suitable for content creation?
Yes. RTX 50 GPUs accelerate video editing, 3D rendering and graphic design, with the 9th-generation NVIDIA encoder for exports and NVIDIA Broadcast to clean up voice and background in video calls or live streams. The Studio drivers are designed for stability in these applications.
