What is the difference between the Reyee RG-AirMetro 460F and 460G?
The network port and the beam. The 460F is limited to a 10/100 Mbps port and narrows its beam to 9°; the 460G offers a Gigabit port. Same 23 dBi antenna, same 15 km range.
What range does the Reyee RG-AirMetro 460F bridge offer?
Up to 15 km, with a 23 dBi circular antenna and a 9° beam both horizontally and vertically. Such a narrow beam requires careful alignment: being off by just a few degrees is enough to lose the link.
Can the Reyee RG-AirMetro 460F be used as a base station?
Yes, it offers two modes: base station or CPE, i.e. customer premises equipment. The same hardware can therefore be used at both ends of a link, which simplifies purchasing and spare stock.
How much power does the Reyee RG-AirMetro 460F bridge consume?
Less than 9 W, powered by 24 V passive PoE, with the injector included. At this level, a link on an isolated site can run on a small solar power supply.
Can the Reyee RG-AirMetro 460F withstand bad weather?
IP65 enclosure, wind resistance up to 220 km/h, operation from -40 to 70 °C and protection against 6 kV surges and ±24 kV discharges. It is equipment designed to stay on a tower for years.
