At what distance can this Holowits camera recognise a face?
According to the EN 62676-4 standard, it detects at 56 m, observes at 22.6 m, recognises at 11.2 m and identifies at 5.6 m. In other words: to formally identify a person, it must be installed less than six metres from the passage point.
What field of view does this Holowits dome camera cover?
96.8° horizontally and 70.5° vertically, with a 2.8 mm lens and an F1.6 aperture. From a single mounting point, it covers an entire room.
Can this camera be powered through the network cable?
Yes: it accepts PoE to the IEEE 802.3af standard, or a 12 V DC power supply. With PoE, a single Ethernet link carries both the image and the power — but the PoE injector or switch is not included.
What can this camera's built-in intelligence detect?
It provides person detection and target attribute recognition, as well as behaviour analysis: line crossing, intrusion, area entry or exit, loitering. Its built-in computing power is 1 TOPS.
Can this camera count people?
Yes: it provides crowd flow analysis and head counting, in addition to queue length measurement. That is what makes it useful in retail or reception areas, beyond security alone.
Is this dome camera designed for indoor or outdoor use?
The manufacturer presents it as an indoor application, while giving it an IP67 rating and IK10 impact resistance. These ratings make it robust, but the stated use remains indoors: a lobby, a corridor, a covered car park.

30 metres. The camera also features defog and a 120 dB WDR dynamic range to remain legible in backlit conditions.
