What power supply does the PNY RTX 5050 8 GB need?
A 550 W or higher unit for the whole PC, and an 8-pin connector for the card, whose power consumption peaks at 130 W. This requirement varies with the configuration: a power-hungry processor or several drives call for more headroom.
Is the graphics driver included in the box?
No, it is not: after installation, the NVIDIA app downloads the latest GeForce driver from the internet. So plan for a network connection at first start-up, or get the driver in advance if this card is the machine’s only video output.
What are the dimensions of this dual-fan RTX 5050?
200 × 120 × 39.8 mm, over two slots. It is a short size, which PNY presents as a compact format that opens the door to many case sizes. The two fans spread and remove heat across the entire surface of the graphics processor.

What do DLSS 4 and Reflex 2 bring on this entry-level model?
A lot, precisely because the card is not the most powerful: DLSS 4 generates frames using AI to raise the frame rate without degrading the image, and Reflex 2 reduces the latency between a mouse movement and the display. The 5th-generation Tensor cores and 4th-generation ray tracing cores do the rest.
