Product overview

Combine power and compactness with the PNY Nvidia RTX A400 4GB GDDR6, a professional graphics card designed for modern workstations. Built on the Nvidia Ampere architecture with 768 CUDA cores, it delivers remarkable compute performance for 3D modelling, video rendering and artificial intelligence. Its low-profile, single-slot form factor fits neatly into compact systems without sacrificing power. With 4 GB of GDDR6 memory, PCIe 4.0 and 4 Mini DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, it provides smoothness, connectivity and energy efficiency thanks to a modest 50W power draw — the ideal ally for demanding professionals.

Frequently asked questions about this product

Does this RTX A400 fit in a compact workstation?
Yes. It comes in a low profile, single-slot format and connects via PCI Express 4.0 x8: it does not encroach on the neighbouring slot, which matters in an SFF chassis or a mini-ITX case where slots are limited.
How much power does it draw, and how is it cooled?
50 W at most, a power envelope that makes it usable even in configurations with limited cooling. Cooling is active: the card has a fan; it is not a passive model with a bare heatsink.
How do you connect a standard HDMI or DisplayPort monitor to it?
All four outputs are Mini DisplayPort 1.4a. An HDMI or full-size DisplayPort monitor is therefore connected with a Mini DisplayPort cable or adapter. This is the trade-off of the low profile format, which leaves no room for full-size connectors.
How many displays can it drive, and up to what resolution?
Four high-resolution displays simultaneously, with supported resolutions up to 5120 × 2880. That is what justifies the four Mini DisplayPort 1.4a outputs on a card of this size: it is designed for multi-monitor visualisation stations, in engineering offices as in control rooms.
What are 4 GB of GDDR6 on a 64-bit bus worth?
That represents 96 GB/s of memory bandwidth. This sizing is aimed at the smooth visualisation of 3D models and complex workflows in CAD, modelling and video editing, as well as multi-monitor display.
What uses is this card really intended for?
For workstations: engineering, CAD, 3D content creation, video editing and visual data analysis. It is optimised for certified professional applications, which has a direct impact on compatibility and stability in these demanding environments.
Does it support ray tracing and AI acceleration?
Yes. It is built on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture with 768 CUDA cores, 24 3rd-generation Tensor cores for AI acceleration and 6 2nd-generation RT cores for real-time ray tracing, bringing greater realism to professional renders.
Which graphics and compute APIs are supported?
DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.6, Vulkan and CUDA 11.6 — the interfaces your CAD, rendering or compute software calls on to take advantage of the card’s hardware acceleration.
Is the card new and under warranty?
Yes: new, in its original PNY packaging, reference VCNRTXA400-SB, supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year. It is indeed the 4 GB GDDR6, PCIe 4.0 version, with four Mini DisplayPort outputs and a low profile format.
