Does the Razer Leviathan V2 X need a mains socket?
No. A single USB Type-C cable supplies both power and the audio signal: it plugs into a PC, a laptop, a monitor or a USB-C wall socket, and the PC recognises it as a USB audio device.
Does the volume depend on the device I plug it into?
Yes: the soundbar's power depends on the power delivered by the USB-C source it is plugged into — wall socket, PC, laptop or monitor. The stated output volume is 90 dB at 1 m.
Where does the bass come from on this soundbar?
From two passive radiators that back up the two full-range drivers: this pairing delivers deep bass and clear treble, in a single 400 mm bar that sits under your screen, for games as well as films and music.
Will it fit under my screen without cluttering the desk?
Yes. At 400 mm long, it is the most compact soundbar in the Leviathan V2 range, designed to slide under a monitor and free up the desk, while still offering a wide soundstage.
Can it be used with a phone or a Nintendo Switch?
Yes. On a PC, it connects via USB audio input; for a mobile phone or a Nintendo Switch, the link uses low-latency Bluetooth 5.0, with pairing done from the Razer Audio app. You switch from PC gaming to mobile without re-cabling anything.
How do you switch the sound between the PC and another device?
With a long press on the Source button on the soundbar. You first set the secondary playback device — a headset, for example — in the “Switch PC audio devices” panel of Razer Synapse. Switching then becomes instant, without going through the system settings.
Do you need to install software to control the RGB lighting?
Yes, customisation is done from the PC. The 14 Chroma RGB lighting zones, their patterns and the dynamic in-game effects are set from Razer software — the Razer Audio app and Razer Synapse — which is also used to switch between audio devices.
Can you adjust the volume without going through the computer?
Yes. The soundbar has its own controls: power button, Source button, Bluetooth button and volume control buttons. You turn the sound up or change the source without opening any software.
Is this Razer speaker new and under warranty?
Yes: the Leviathan V2 X is new, genuine and sealed in its original packaging, under manufacturer reference RZ05-04280100-R3M1. It is supplied with its invoice, which serves as the warranty document for 1 year.
